NEWS JUST IN!!!

For various reasons a few gigs have recently been cancelled and others booked to replace them, so if you want to be sure of where we are playing next, or confirm if a gig is still on before leaving home, please click on the Gig List tab at the top of the page. This is always kept up to date when a change has been made so it really is the best way to keep track of where we are!

We have a busy few weeks ahead of us with a couple of special landmark gigs taking place in June.

First up is our 300th gig which will take place at the Blue Anchor, Helston on the 14th June. We had no idea that we would have played so many gigs in just five years so we feel pretty proud of this achievement. Personally, I can't think of a better venue to play this gig either - The Blue has always been a favourite of mine since we first played Hesltonbury in July 2011. It's a pain for getting the gear down there, and the stage is small and cramped with us and the backline set up - but once we get playing it has a special atmosphere that you don't get anywhere else! The crowd are always up for a good time there and it's not known as the home of Spingo Rock for nothing!

The second landmark gig for us is at the Peterville Inn, St Agnes on 28th June - The very place and date that the very first High Voltage gig took place 5 years ago! Since then we've had only one change in the band's line up, when Heron joined to replace Paul Burroughs (AKA Riff Richards!) who left at the end of May in 2011 to join the Mickey Finn Band. Since Heron joined the band has gone from strength to strength and for me it's always great to share the stage with such an awesome guitarist, and a great friend who i have known for 16 years. To mark the occasion we're planning on putting on a great gig, and hopefully Paul will be available (gigging commitments allowing) to join us on stage for a c ouple of numbers as well. It would be great to see as amany of you as possible to help us celebrate at both gigs, both new followers of HV and those who have been with us from the start!

Before the above mentioned gigs take place, we will be playing at the Plymouth Tattoo Convention in the Guildhall on Sunday 12th May. This is a huge 2 day event and features some of the most talented tattoo artists from all over the UK. We will be bring the music to a close on Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 2:30pm.
